I am writing to invite you to participate in the 2009 Annual NYSACE State Conference. "Creating and Maintaining a Literate Environmen on December 6-8 2009 at the Century House in Latham, N.Y. Posted on this site is a brief overview on the speakers and the cost. We will be offering valuable examples on how to help all students become interested learners.You will have the opportunity to learn about the implementation of Rtl, a Multi-tiered Approach, Best practices in Literacy, and how several schools have implemented programs to create a literate environment. This year NYSED will not be present to offer new updates due to the travel restrictions. Tuesday, December 8th we are offering a program that is focused on "The Role of an Administrator in Creating and Supporting a Literate Environment".
I realize that your district has many internal professional development opportunities.However, it would be a shame for you and your staff to miss out on seeing these speakers and having an opportunity to network. i I hope that you will be able to encourage your staff to attend.
